Man checking the AC system
|

Change Your Filters

We recommend cleaning your filters to prepare your heater for the winter, and we’re doing the same here for your AC unit. As a general rule of thumb,
you should have your HVAC filters cleaned or replaced every 90 days or 60 days if you have pets to prevent any issues. Proper airflow for your HVAC
system is key to maintaining a comfortable, cool home in the warmer months. On top of that, it can extend your system’s lifespan!

Test Your A/C

After replacing your air filter, we recommend turning your system on, its your home and you know if there is an issue, so just turn it on and see for yourself! Turning on your AC can reveal issues that would otherwise go unnoticed. When you turn it on, put your hands up to your vents to make
sure an adequate amount of air is dispensing, and keep an eye out for any water around the furnace or if you hear weird sounds or any foul odors, if any of that is noticed, it’s might be time to contact us for service. If you suspect a problem, turn the AC off and call your trusted HVAC company, True Flow Heating and Air at your earliest convenience for service.

FURNACE TIPS

Replace Your Filters

Generally speaking, you should have your HVAC filters changed every 90 days or 60 days if you have pets. Doing so won’t just ensure optimal
performance from your heating system, but it’ll actually prolong its lifespan! Air filters are dust-collecting machines by nature, so you’ll want to get rid of the dust if you wish to stay warm this winter. You’ll always want your vents to be dust-free!

Move Items Away From Vents

If you have household items, couches, tv stands or indoor pottery over your vents, you should move those items to allow optimal airflow, by covering vents or having them closed this causes static pressure in the main trunk and can reduce airflow in the other vents. On top of that, leaving items like furniture, boxes, garbage, etc. can cause increase of energy consumption as your home can take longer to heat or cool. This is a very simple tip that can turn into a serious problem if neglected!
